athletic competitions have been part of human life in some form or fashion since humans were placed on this earth and each of us has a competitive nature somewhere within us and for many, athletic competition allows their competitive urges to be fulfilled. dave's goal when shooting sporting events is to capture not only the action and movement of the event but also the emotion and beauty of the action and to use these elements to create an image that tells its "story" to the viewer in a simple, yet artistic manner.
